Q: There are certain people that write verses of the Quran Shareef on pieces of paper and stick it around their house with the intention of binding the house from magic and nazr. Please inform me if this has any basis in Deen. If not, is it a form or shirk?

Also is it permissible to wear a necklace for women with ayaat ul kursi engraved on it?
If it is permissible, I know the necklace has to be removed before entering the toilet area. But the taweez being covered in a cloth, will it also have to be remove?

Q: I wanted to ask whether its permissible to wear a taweez (on arms) as I have my driving test next week. I know that wearing taweez is bid’ah and a form of shirk.
