Keeping pictures of animate objects

Q: My question is that is it a major sin or a minor sin to keep pictures of animate objects in the house? I know that it must be avoided, but I was having a discussion with my family about this, and now I am very curious as to whether this comes in category of major sins or minor sins? (These photos were taken by someone else, I am asking about keeping them in the house).

Making dolls

Q: Is it permissable to make dolls as a hobby? If one has already made them, created them, is it permissable to then sell them? Will the money made from selling them be halaal?

Dreaming of my male friend

Q: I recently discovered that my male friend hasn't been loyal as a friend and consequently, I have cut him out. For the last two evenings, I've dreamed of him even though he hasn't been on my mind.

Dream #1:

I dreamed that around the corner from where I currently live, lived a woman who can read people somehow. She looked after children. (I'm not sure if I asked or if she just mentions it) she tells me that he will come right and that I should croak like a frog close to the light switch. However, I'm not sure what sound a frog makes to which a little boy explains. I can't make the sound and instead, I say "quack". It starts raining.

Dream #2:

My male friends family fetch me. We are on a bus and his sisters baby girl comes to play with me. Then we get to his house and the baby girl is still with me. I go to the lounge and his mom is sitting there and we greet each other. Suddenly kitchen staff are apparent which my friend sent for us to sort out food for us. The one kitchen lady walks to the table to place salad on a table but she looks annoyed and gives my friends mother a funny look to which I am appalled and we (his mother and I) mention to each other that the lady had an attitude. Yet his mother seemed chilled.

What does this mean?

How do you live in the UK without participating in interest?

Q: My question pertains to interest which I know is forbidden in Islam and is seen as a great sin. But in the UK, through mortgages, insurances, etc., it seems virtually impossible to avoid riba (interest). I have looked into Islamic banking in the UK but I see it to be an awful alternative as it still essentially charges riba but with some clever play on words and has been dismissed by the consensus of scholars. So my question is: how do you live in the UK without participating in interest as I am struggling to see alternatives?
