Istikhaarah for marriage
Q: I have had a few dreams in the past year regarding a particular person and I wanted to know if they are baseless or significant.
1. I saw myself lying in bed with this person with his arms around me and we were both very happy and he made me feel very protected. I told him I had to leave but he insisted that I stay with him a bit longer and so I did and was quite happy to do so. I was very comfortable and happy in this dream.
2. I saw someone telling me that she knows the name of the person I am meant to get married to and she tries to show me the name but I cannot see it, but then she hints at the fact that it will be this same guy.
3. I saw my mom telling me she would be very happy if I chose to marry him because she is very fond of him.
4. I saw my brother trying to convince me that he would be a good match for me and that I should go for it.
I just want to know if these are just reflections of my thoughts because this individual is someone I have considered for the sake of marriage but have not taken any action towards yet. Or is there some deeper meaning behind these dreams?
A: If you and your parents are pleased with the person's Deen, character and mannerisms, then you may get married to him.
