Ear, nose, tongue and navel piercings

Q: Is it permissible for females to have:
1. More than one ear piercing?
2. A tongue piercing?
A: It is permissible on condition that there is no resemblance with the styles and traditions of the kuffaar and fussaaq (sinners). It should be borne in mind that ear piercing and nose piercing is permissible. However, tongue piercing and navel piercing are the ways of the kuffaar. Hence, it is not permissible for a believer to emulate the ways of the kuffaar.
