Befriending non-Muslims and buying haraam food for them

Q: At work with non-Muslims, my colleagues wanted to eat with me and I volunteered to buy the food. They asked me if it is ok if they get pepperoni pizza and I said it is fine. Later I asked them to just go ahead and order so I would not pay for their haraam food.

Since I first said “it was fine” is that kufr because I was too weak to explain to them that I don’t buy haraam food? I feel like I need to redo my Nikah and Hajj.

A: You do not have to repeat your kalimah and renew your nikaah. However, you should make taubah for saying this and in future don't become too close to them. If you paid for their haraam food, then you should make sincere taubah and refrain from this in the future.

A believer should not befriend the disbelievers and get close to them. Once a believer befriends the disbelievers and gets close to them, then he will begin to compromise in his deeni obligations towards Allah Ta'ala and the Muslims. He will sit with them while they consume their haraam food until their wrongs will no longer be detestable to him.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
