Zakaat on money owed to a person by SARS

Q: SARS is owing me a refund but pending verification. The amount might be more or less once they finalise. What amount do I use to calculate the zakaat.

A: If you receive this money from them before your zakaat date, you will include it in your zakaat calculation provided it remains with you till your zakaat date. If you receive it after your zakaat date, you will not include it in your zakaat calculation.
