Q: Is there a difference between a Shia and a Salafi?
The Shias have no respect for Sahaabah (radhiyallahu anhum) and the Salafis have incorrect beliefs with regards to Allah. Hence both do not have proper Aqaaid.
A: You cannot equate Salafis to Shias because Salafis are Muslims while Shias are not Muslims.
Salafis do not have the same beliefs like the Shias. Shias regard the Qur’aan Majeed to be distorted and attribute false allegations to the Azwaaj-e-Mutahharaat (the pure wives of Rasulullah [sallallahu alaihi wasallam]). They revile the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu anhum) and believe that the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu anhum) had turned apostate after the demise of Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) (Al-Iyaazubillah). They believe in prostitution being permissible. Hence, people who have such beliefs are kaafir.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
