Taunting a Muslim

Q: What is the significance and the ruling if the sunnah about "loving fellow believers and not taunting them" according to some Ahaadith like this:

Sayyiduna Mu’adh (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrates that Muhammad (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said: ‘Whoever taunts a brother (Muslim) with a sin (which the Muslim has committed), will not die until he (the taunter) commits the same sin.’

Wearing one shoe and walking

Q: What is the explanation of this hadith:

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu) reports that Nabi (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said, “None of you should walk in one shoe. Remove both or wear both”

(Sahih Bukhari, Hadith: 5856 and Sahih Muslim, Hadith: 2097).

Cursing one's children

Q: Can you please give a detail masala about this hadith:

"Jabir (radhiyallahu anhu) reported: The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) said, “Do not invoke curses on yourself or on your children or on your possessions lest you should happen to do it at a moment when the supplications are accepted, and your prayer might be granted.” [Muslim]

Hadith regarding a person who conceals his knowledge

Q: Can you explain who this refers to:

Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) said: “Whoever is asked about some knowledge (that he knows) and he conceals it, he will be bridled on the Day of Qiyamah with a bridle of fire.”

Imam Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah (rahimahumullah) have recorded this Hadith on the authority of Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (radiyallahu ‘anhu). (Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 2649, Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 3650, Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith: 266) Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has declared the Hadith sound (hasan).

Hadith regarding aiding and supporting unjust rulers

ليأتين عليكم أمراء يقربون شرار الناس ويؤخرون الصلاة عن مواقيتها فمن أدرك ذلك منكم فلا يكونن عريفا ولا شرطيا ولا جابيا ولا خازنا

Imam Ibn Hibban (rahimahullah) has recorded this Hadith and has declared it authentic.

Reciting three Quls in the morning and evening

Q: What is the correct method of practising on this Hadith? Is it three times each?

Sayyiduna ‘Abdullah ibn Khubayb (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that Rasulullah (sallallahu’alayhi wasallam) said: ‘…Recite Qul huwallahu Ahad, Qul A’udhu bi Rabbil Falaq and Qul A’udhu bi Rabbin Nas, thrice every morning and evening. It will suffice you for everything.’

(Sunan Abi Dawud, Hadith: 5041 and Sunan Tirmidhi, Hadith: 3575) Imam Tirmidhi (rahimahullah) has declared this Hadith authentic (Hasan Sahih Gharib) . ‘Allamah Nawawi (rahimahullah) has also declared it authentic (sahih). Refer: Al-Adhkar, Hadith: 216.

Meaning of Hadith where people will give testimony before they are asked for it

Q: What is the signification in the following narration about:"They will give testimony before they are even asked for it.”

Imran ibn Husayn (radiyallahu ‘anhu) narrated that Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam) said:

“The best of people are my generation, then those who follow them. Then, after them a people will come who increase in fatness, loving fatness. They will give testimony before they are even asked for it.” (Jami’ Tirmidhi)?
