Q: I wanted to ask whether its permissible to wear a taweez (on arms) as I have my driving test next week. I know that wearing taweez is bid’ah and a form of shirk. But I’m not too sure of wearing the ones which you can wear when we have exams etc. I just want to ask before I commit shirk whilst doing my test.

Q: I would like to know the ruling on amulets (taweez) whether it's permissible in Islam. If it's not then can you please explain why.
Q: I am facing several marriage blockings from past four years. I tried several wazifas but conditions are still same. In this regard I have contacted a spiritual healer. He has his connections with the tablighi jamat. The methods suggested for the relieve are the burning of amulets wrapped in cotton and looking at the flame at maghrib time together with the rubbing of egg on the body and use of meat and throwing it away for first two days. The burning of amulets continues for 3 months. Are these methods of healing permissable?

Ye sun kar us ne gireban me hath daal kar taweez ko tukrray tukrray kar diya. Phir Rasoolullah sallallahu alaihi wasallam ne us se bait li aur farmaya "Jis ne taweez latkaya us ne shirk kia."
