Practising azl and the use of contraceptives

Q: Family planning is not permissible in Islam. I have come to realise that even though we use different methods of family planning, everything lies in Allah Ta'alas hands. If Allah Ta'ala wishes it to be, nothing can prevent it. My husband and I use condoms as a preventative. I would now like to refrain from this as I feel it is not correct and this also falls under family planning, however, my husband feels contrary. Is azal also regarded as family planning. If it is ok to use condoms, no problem. However, if its not permissible then what should I tell my husband?

Dream

Q: I want to know the meaning of a dream my cousin saw about me. I am 26 years old and unmarried and I want to marry someone but my parents are not agreeing right now. She saw that I was getting married and my parents and his parents all agreed but then a group of women came in abaayas and niqaab and they asked where is the bride and took me with them and my cousin was thinking that if everyone agreed then why they took me like this. I am worried what does it mean?

Taking care of one's husband and one's father

Q: I live in a town about 50km away from my parents. I stay with them every weekend and try to do as much as I can to please them. My mother plans on going to do my sisters confinement in Joburg for a week. She wants me to come and stay with my father and younger brothers for that week. I must close my afternoon Madrasah for that week and cover up the lost time during the weekends. I must also leave my husband and tell my mother in law to cook etc for him for that week. My husband feels that this is unreasonable. I want to please him but I also want to please my mother. Who has more right over me and how can I resolve the issue without offending my husband and my mother?

Accepting one's mistakes

Q: I am nowadays in financial crisis and have to pay a lot of debts. I am a Muslim but yes i admit that I have made a lot of sins and mistakes that I did not pray 5 times, now when I am in crisis I realised that it is all because I was gaafil from Allah. But now when I want to start salaah again with pure heart my friends says "If you are in trouble and you remember Allah it means you are in trouble" is it wrong if you realize your mistakes and you want to go to Almighty Allah?

Not knowing one's zakaat date

Q: A person doesn't know which date his "haul"-date for paying zakat is, and he must thus choose any date of the year. Which date is the ideal to chose? Am I reasoning correctly by choosing the 27th of Ramadhaan, due to the high probability of lailatul-qadr falling on that day, hoping to multiply my reward for giving zakat on this particular day?

Drinking water with meals
