Q: I have heard sveral conflicting views on the following. What is the Shafi'ee mathab on Qurbaani? Who is it waajib on? Should it be made annually or once in a life time? Can one qurbaani be made on behalf of a family?

Q: If some of the shares in a cow are for living people while two shares are being slaughtered for deceased people in the same animal, is this permissible?

Q: We are four brothers and three sisters of whom one sister is unmarried. One of our brothers was working abroad. He died 2 years ago and left behind one widow and a son of about eight years. Our parents have already died. We have distributed the rest of the property of our deceased brother. But now we have received the salary arrears and other benefits of our deceased brother in cash. I want to ask that how this cash amount will be distributed. The rest of my brothers are of the opinion that as they sponsored all the expenses of sending our brother abroad so they are entitled to receive all the cash.

Q: I made a vow that if I commit a certain sin I will fast for 3 consecutive days. Unfortunately I fell in to this sin many times after so I have 27 fasts to keep. If I fast with the intention of these fasts on days that are virtuous to fast like the first 9 days of Zul HIjjah, 13 14 15 of each month will I receive the thawaab that comes with normally fasting on these days or will only my vow be carried out?

Q: Husband and wife slept in different rooms for more than a year. They had no children. The husband told her if she wants divorce then she has to return back to her parents. She returned back. She found out that the divorce was valid. Four years has passed. Please confirm if the divorce was valid?

Q: If one wants to make qurbani on behalf of a poor baaligh person, does one need to take his permission?

Q: If a parent has money invested for his baaligh child, but the child will only get this when he turns 18, is qurbani wajib upon the child? (e.g. Eduction policy)
