Q: I know a girl and I like her but she is a sex worker and I have done a niyyat that I want to take her out of that so is it allowed in Islam to marry a girl who is a sex worker ?

Q: I got married 2 years ago to my wife who since then has been living at home. A lot of arguments had started between the family’s which then caused a lot of problems between me and my wife. 

2 years later she had applied for a Khula through the shariah council which they sent me a letter. I attended all the appointments in hope of reconciliation.

After the 3rd letter was sent out, she had issued a talaaq without my consent. 

Since then the qadhi (judge) told me she is in iddah and I could take her back and reconcile. The only problem I have was I don’t remember at all if I had said talaaq once in the past or twice with the intention to scare her and make her come to her senses. I need to know if the intention counts?

Also, during her iddah she had emailed the imaam and cancelled the talaaq that we have reconciled and doesn’t want to go through with the divorce. 

The same day the qadhi had emailed her saying talaaq has now been cancelled and we need to hand in our certificates. 

After a few days another argument arises and she tells me now after the 3 months iddah has ended where I was thinking I am still married that she told the imaam not to cancel it and carry on with the iddah

My question is am I still married to her as she cancelled it and then called the imaam to say don’t cancel it even though he said he has during the iddah me and my wife on many occasions had intercourse I am completely confused as in to f I am still married to her or not and so is she now and don’t k ow what to do

Q: In my office washroom, the janitors keep the floor dry using a mop. Now the toilets are separate from the area where there are wash basins. However, the janitors use the same mop to clean the floor of the entire washroom (toilet and the washbasin area). Now when washing myself or performing wudoo at the wash basins, drops of water usually fall down on the floor. Does these drops become napaak after splashing from the floor? In the start I tried to avoid these drops from falling and then bouncing on my feet and clothes, but it is almost impossible and every now and then I get water splashed on my feet and clothes. What I should do in such a case? If I become napaak, how can I perform salah then because I have no way to change my clothes in the office and it happens too frequently?

Q: If I wanted to read 2 rakat of nafl salaah but after reading 2 rakats, without sitting, I get up accidentally, should I break my salah? If I sit for tashahud but forget doing salam and get up accidentally what should I do?

Q: Is it permissible for a woman to look at another man who is not as handsome or old to get attracted?

Q: If we do wudu with the intention to read Quran, we cannot read salah with it, is it true? What if I perform wudu for being in the state of taharat, can I pray with this wudu or if I intend to pray with this wudu can I read Quran?

Q:

1. Should we treat those who don't follow a mazhab as Muslims or non-Muslims?

2. If they are Muslims, can we perform the five daily salaah and janaazah salaah behind their Imaams?

3. Also can we eat at their homes and call them to our homes to eat?

Q: I recently heard about Takaaful insurance and was interested in taking out a scheme to cover my home, business, cars, etc. Takaaful claims to be fully Shari’ah compliant, but when I went to the Takaaful website and saw the different schemes that they offer, I couldn’t see any difference with normal insurance. Also, when I dialed the number on their website, I reached a conventional insurance company who told me that Takaaful is part of them and operates under their license. Can you please explain to me whether Takaaful is permissible or not. Jazakallah.

Q: Among my relatives, here is some ghair muqallids. In the Islamic point of view what should we keep company with them or how should I treat them ? 

Q: I am a Palestinian woman, 20 years old now in USA, my family is back in Palestine. Desperate for marriage I went on a Muslim matrimonial website and found a Pakistani man to be my husband. I have met his family and spent much time with his family. Due to our tradition though, he says he cannot marry me and will not marry me until he and his parents meet my parents. There really is not a way to make that happen at least for years. What do I do? What are the options for us? We are engaged, will I have to repent to Allah if this does not work out? I am so lost and alone please help.
