Q: I have some doubts in my mind. Mostly people say offering prayers is the first thing every Muslim should do even if he is committing any sin. I have a question does Quraan really say that offering prayers is the first priority and becoming a good peson who does good deeds is secondary thing because in todays world we see many people who offer prayers but commit sin and on the contrary there are people who are good human but dont pray. So I really want to know what Allah says about this is becoming a good person more important or offering prayer. Although I know that mostly people say that through prayers one can only become a good person but what about those who perform good deeds but dont offer prayers that too often
Q: Thirty years ago, when I was a child, I found a gold necklace. My sister took it from me and kept it. Two months ago she returned the item back to me saying she is not entitled to it. The local police law states that if you find something you must hand it in to a local police station and if no one claims it within 28 days then it becomes legally mine. I handed it in to the local police station and no one claimed it. I couldn't say I found it thirty years ago because I might have got into trouble for keeping it so long. Obviously no one claimed it so the police have said I can keep it. I don't want to be sinful so what should I do with the necklace?
Q: My grandmother (fathers mother) passed away two weeks ago at age 86. May Allah grant her Jannatul Firdous. Aameen
With regards to the inheritance, she had made verbal bequests and had not made a written will. During her lifetime she had gifted her daughter her “share” of what was due i.e. money and jewellery and other items. She had continually mentioned to all the family members that she had given those items and the remainder of her possessions will stay in the house and is for my father. (She was a widow and lived with my parents). Subsequent to the death, my aunt is now wanting to claim other items. Please advise how we should handle the situation. Should we now distribute all the items the shariah way. They are just 2 siblings, one brother and one sister.

Q: A musaafir joined the zuhr salaah after the imam got up from ruku of the 4th rakaat. After the imam made salam the musaafir masbooq got up to complete his salah however he forgetfully read only 2 rakaats and made salam instead of completing 4 rakaats. Should he now repeat the whole 4 rakaats farz of zuhr or must he perform 2 rakaats qasr?
