Q: I am a Muslim Arab born and live in the U.K. I'm in the process of marrying an amazing Bengali girl. There's just one problem, her father and mother were divorced ages ago and she hasn't seen her father in 4 years. She has tried to contact him to be her wali as that's what the Quran says but no reply. It's been about a week and half but we want the nikah to be as quick as possible so we don't delay it. What should we do? Should we wait till her father replys no matter how long we wait? Her father has no family here in the U.K. either?

Later on, my brother in law contacted Ulama in Dubai and Pakistan and they gave him a fatwa that women attending the wedding is permissible provided there is segregation of males and females, no photography or music. They contacted Ahmed Mian Thanvi in Lahore and asked him to perform the nikah. By his presence they made me sure that it is permissible. Bahishti zewar is not like Quran, it could be tempered with or it does not stand applicable for today. They said that I am severing relationships and I am being an extremist whereas Islam is a Deen of moderation. My sister stopped contacting me and started evading me. My other brother and sister also got offended with me.
What am I supposed to do now. I am also very much hurt. They say that why do you contact Ulama in South Africa when we have so many Ulama in Pakistan and Dubai. Why are you following a tareeq so queer and strange. They believe that I have become deviant. If I remain quiet and do not contact my sister will I be accountable for severing the relationship?
Q: I once asked my ustaaz whether it is okay for a woman to state in the nikaah contract that while she is married to the man he cannot get another wife. I was told that it is incorrect to do such a thing because it is permissible to have more than one wife and you are not allowed to make it impermissible upon him. Basically you can't make haraam upon him that which is halaal. Could this please be clarified.
Q: I have a few questions to ask regarding divorce. I was married to my cousin for 7 years, he came to Canada last year in 2016 and tried to break my virginity; however, he was unable to break my virginity. After that he never came near me. I got divorced this year in the beginning of August. He is still living in the same house where I live in but in different bedrooms. I would like answers for 3 questions:
1. He is my na-mahram now so should he be living in the same house as me?
2. I received a divorce from the Canadian government, but does my ex husband have to say divorce 3 times to me for me to be legally divorced in Islam?
3. How long is my iddah period and what are the restrictions associated with it ? I work full time so how will my iddah period work?
