Q:
1. My mother in law is presently observing her iddat. Owing to the fact that her son and husband have passed on and her brothers live far off, I take the responsibility of taking her out of the house for necessary needs e.g. hospital visits., etc. Am i allowed?
2. The second query would be regarding other ghair mahram men. Are they allowed to visit her at home? Is she allowed to go with them to any place that is deemed unnecessary? I think that she is not allowed to. She has recently left the house with an uncle of hers (not related by blood) for a few hours. Her reasoning is that he is an elder. Please clarify for me. Does my deceased father in law incur any azaab as well?
Q: As you know that a person who memorized the Quran will be told to recite on the Day of Judgment and where the person will stop, that will be his level in Jannah. My question that if a person memorized the Quran but the person's memorization is weak, will he forget on the Day of Judgment or will he remember everything?
Q: I read that one has to pay kaffarah if one has intercourse during the fast. Therefore, no kaffarah if one commits the sin of masturbation. The person was unsure of the proper repentance so made the intention to pay kaffarah and fast 2 months. Sadaqah was paid to feed 10 people 2 meals for 2 months totaling $700. Having now learned that it is no longer necessary, does he still have to fast the 2 months based on his intention or would it be wrong as it is not prescribed as the expiation for his actions?
Q: I know in Islam we do not confess sins but I want to ask a question. Im incarcerated, I took my shahada in 2003 and lived Deen for about 6 years. Then I fell back into the evil I was previously on prior to taking my shahada, homosexuality. Lately I've been reading Quran and praying. Im still incarcerated and have been for 23 years. I want to rejoin the community but some know me when I was doing these evil acts and others know me when I was living deen. I do not want to be a fitnah to the brothers but want to do the right thing. Do I retake my shahada, join the community, or just continue to say my prayers in private?
Q: In an automatic washing machine we just have to put the clothes and the detergent and it automatically fills water and washes the clothes as well as it automatically drains the water after washing. Will the impure clothes become paak or pure? Some scholars say that washing impure clothes in an automatic washing machine does not make it paak.
Q: My husband does not pay zakah on his savings even after reminders that it is a fardh and the punishment of not fulfilling this fardh. My question is that he gives me momey for the maintenance of the house and for my needs and that of our children, is it sinful for me to use his money? I do fear that him not paying his zakah may bring a calamity (Allah Ta'ala forbid) on our family.
Q: Is it permissible to eat prasaad and birthday cake or sweets offered that is offered to me. If I can't avoid it then how could i amend or compensate for this.
Q: I understand that a Ma'zoor has to renew his wudhu for each salaah.
1. My question is that when the time for fajr ends, can I make a new wudhu as soon as fajr ends or do I have to wait for the sun to completely rise.
2. When does this wudhu end (from sunrise to what time)?
