Witnesses being present when taking consent from the girl at home before the nikaah

Q: In my country, before the actual nikaah, the qadhi goes to the bride's house to get her signature. Some people insist that there should be 2 witnesses there and some say no since this is not an actual nikaah but just to confirm that the bride has given her permission.

What is the ruling here? Should there be 2 witnesses when the bride gives her approval at her house and they have to be present in the nikaah to confirm that OR the mere statement of a wali during the nikaah (that my daughter has given her approval) is taken to be sufficient without the involvement of any witness (to confirm the above)?

Including impermissible clauses in a lease agreement to deter tenants from delaying payment

Q: Due to tenants not paying rental on time, we intend putting a clause to deter tenants from delaying payment. Please advise if it is permissible to include the following clauses in a lease agreement.

NB: We only intend using one of the 2 clauses in each lease.

1. Failure to pay monthly rental by the due date will result in the premises being locked by the lessor. The lessor will only unlock the premises once all arrear rentals are fully paid. The lessee will be charged for expenses incurred in having the premises locked and unlocked.

2. Failure to pay rental by the due date will result in immediate termination of lease. The lessee will be liable for a daily rental of R1000 until the premises has been vacated or a new lease has been agreed upon. (The amount for daily rental we intend using here will be significantly higher than the [proportionate daily] amount the tenant is being charged accordingly to the lease which has a monthly rental amount.)

Making taubah after using a girl's name and picture to speak to a boy

Q: When I was a teenager I used a picture and name of some other girl in my school and pretended to be her. I spoke to one boy in my school and we spoke inappropriately. I felt guilty and deleted it. This was years before I started praying and fasting but I still feel so guilty for the girl who’s picture and name I used.

I paid sadaqah in her name and I asked Allah Ta'ala for forgiveness years ago. I still feel upset and disgusted at myself. I dont believe I can contact the girl, and even if I could, I dont believe I would be able to tell her.

Is there anything else that I have to do to absolve myself?

Ruling of wudhu due to vaginal discharge

Q:

1. May I know all the different types of vaginal discharges and their wudhu/ghusul/najasah ruling according to shariah? Cervical mucus is a normal part of every girl’s monthly cycle and most days in the month she will normally have cervical mucus. This cervical mucus is of varying thickness, opaqueness and stretchability depending on how close or far she is from ovulation. Is this normal cervical mucus discharge what is called “mazi”?

2. I would like to know if wudhu remains or not if the cervical mucus does not exit the private part — it stays within the lips and you can also feel that there is some slippery/wet cervical mucus INSIDE the lips, but it has not exited the lips yet.

3. I was told that wudhu does not break if the fluid does not exit the lips. However, I was reading behishti zewar (وضوء توڑنے والی چیزوں کا بیان) and here is what it says:

مسئلہ ۳۶: پیشاب یا مذی کا قطرہ سوراخ سے باہر نکل آیا لیکن ابھی اس کھال کے اندر ہے جو اوپر ہوتی ہے تب بھی وضوء ٹوٹ گیا۔

What does this mean? I am still confused about if mazi is the normal cervical fluid.

4. I do not know what a wet dream is.

Secular education

Q: What is the role of secular studies in Islam or what is the stance of Islam on secular or dunyawi education?

1. Is it permissible, is it recommended, is it a haqq of a Muslim, is it of any any benefit or harm?

2. Should a man get dunyawi education and should a woman get dunyawi education, and upto what level?
