Q: The way before I made a prayer that if I succeed in so and so I will try my level best to offer tahajjud regularly. So if for some reason I skip a day or days then did I commit a sin? Offering tahajjud regularly for the sake of mannat, does this make the reward of tahajjud any less? Q: My brother goes out at night with friends and comes home late, it happens quite often and he doesnt pay much attention to his wife or daughter, whenever we tell him not to go or stop him he argues and fights. Please mufti saab could you help us by telling us what could we do to stop him?
Q: Can you please explain who the Ash’arees are? I am very confused about them because ulema-e-Deoband usually list themselves as Ash’aree or Matreedi, but Arabian scholars like Shaykh Muhammad Ibn Saalih al Uthaymeen and bin Baz clearly consider Ash'aree and Matreedi out of Ahle-Sunnah wal Jamaah. Why do the Arabian scholars consider Ash'aree and Matreedi to be outside of Ahle-sunnah wal Jamaah. What is even more confusing is that our ulema respect the aforementioned scholar, but if you read fatwa work of these scholars, you will clearly see that they consider Ash'aree and Matreedi to be a batil sect.
Q: We have always been taught not to wear moorat/clothing with eyes and animate objects on them. We have been told recently that if an object like a cartoon character even if it be a car has eyes drawn/painted on it, is then not considered as moorat. This is because a car is not an animate object. Is this correct?
Q: In the bedroom, where can the Quaran be kept? I have always kept my Quaran in a drawer of the dressing chest in the bedroom but now I am told that that is improper and should always be kept above head-high.
Q: My question is about waswaas. Sometimes I can't tell if I acted upon a tought or not or like commited riya though I dont want to show off. Also, I know that the shaytaan puts whispers into the hearts of the believers wich have iman but what if you like commited kufr before will you still get these toughts so it means you have iman? This is confusing me. So that means if someone commited kufr before, but he still gets waswaas means he still has iman and hes a muslim? Also while I am confused am I commiting kufr just by being confused by this?
Q: I have a dangerous kind of waswaas wich disturb me alot and keep me sometimes depressed. It is about kufr and shirk som can you give me tips on how to deal with them? Also, while I was home alone I heard a sound and I was quickly like whats that. I tought to myself what if there is a jinn there (I know we cant see jinns but i didnt remeber at that time) so I turned my head quickly to see. Then when I was looking I realized that we humans cant see jinns. So did I commit kufr?
Q: We have business tenants who persistently don’t pay rentals on time. It appears that they are in fact able to pay, but deliberately withhold the money and instead utilise it to effect early settlement with suppliers in order to get an early settlement discount. In the case of such tenants, is it permissible to charge a late payment fee if the rental due is not paid on time?
