Walking in front of a person who is performing Salaah

Q:

  1. There is a narration which gives severe warnings for those who walk in front of a person who is performing salaah. If there is a person praying in the main prayer hall of the musjid, how far in front of him should we pass and be not considered to have walked in front of the person performing  salaah as mentioned in the narration?
  2. If I perform sunnah salaah in the musjid and after I finish, I find someone also performing salaah exactly behind me, whether it's one row or several rows behind, should I wait till he finishes then get up to leave, or I can just immediately get up and whether this is considered as walking in front of people performing salaah?

Imaamat of a person who cuts of ties with people

Q: I live in New Zealand and know that Qata Rahmee for the sake of Dunya is becoming common. I have seen that Imam of our masjid is good at Qata Rahmee. He has not spoken to many for months and years. This grieves me too much as he is not a common person. His place is much higher than a person like me but such act and that is only for petty things (Dunyawi matters) create bad impression. I need your help to know that the Namaz and the imamat of such Maulana is kamil or unacceptable especially since he is a person who knows all that?

Salaat with jamaat

Q: I would like to know what is the shari implication on not performing salaat with jamaat. I noticed that many men who are fit and able do not make any attempt to come to the musjid for salaat with jamaat. Some even live within walking distance to the musjid. Also what I find very strange they are regular with work and other sporting activities.

Qadhaa of Salaah missed while one was on Safr

Q: I travel daily from Midrand to Witbank +- 110kms daily to work. I need to know whether the salahs I have to perform daily are in the Qasr state and also if I return home and if I have missed my salahs during the day I have to perform Qaza in a Qasr state.

Also if the Juma salah is missed then whether qaza for the fard salah is 2 or 4 rakaat.  (also in above state)

Four rakaats after Zuhr and Isha

Q: Great virtues are mentioned in the Ahadith for praying 4 rakaats after Zuhr and Isha.

Should one perform these apart from the confirmed 2 rakaats sunnah that are prayed after Zuhr and Isha i.e. first 2 rakaats and then 4 rakaats? And these 4 rakaats should they be prayed with one taslim or 2 by 2 rakaats?

Four Rakaats after the Fardh of Esha

Q: Praying four rakaats after the fard of salaat Esha is mentioned in Ahaadith. Its mentioned that the virtue is that one will gain reward as having prayed these four rakaats on Laylat al Qadr. There are both Marfu and Mawquf reports regarding this. Should this be prayed after the 2 rakat sunnah muakkadah as adding 2 rakaats seperately or adding 4 rakaats either seperately or in two sets?

I read in Qutul al Quluub that Ibn Masud (RA) did not like to pray after the Fard a same amount of Nafila rakaats, they would pray Isha and thereafter 2 rakaats and thereafter 4 rakaats. Is this true?

In Musannaf Ibn Abi Shayba 2/206 there is a report from Umar (RA) that he did not like to pray after Jumuah the same amount of nafil i.e. 2 rakaat. What Ibn Masud (RA) would do, is that 2 rakaats and thereafter 4 rakaats with one taslim?

Going into ruku' thinking that the Imaam made takbeer

Q: While praying Salaah in Jamat (congregation) a person was standing far from the Imam and also there were no speakers. At one point the person thought that Imam Saheb said Allahu Akbar, and so he was going to ruku. As he was doing so he found that the rest of the muqtatis were still standing (the person in concern heard it wrong) so he again stood up. Now my question is that is the Salaah of the person, in concern, valid or should he repeat his Salaah?
