Doing accounting for a firm in the lottery department
Q: I work for a chartered accounting company in British Columbia, Canada. There are various departments in our company and they provide accounting services to various companies. I work as a data entry person who enters data (information about people and their addresses) and I work in the lottery department. Our company does not deal with lottery selling, we just deal with the accounting and tallying and hand over the information to the foundation or clients. My job only entails office duties and entering data which prepares the lottery for the clients. Is this job permissible for me?
