Q: Please describe what is Shirk?

Q: Zaid went to China to buy goods for 1 million. On reaching there, Zaid found out that the goods with the freight would cost 1.2 millions. Amr is ready to help him with the 0.2 million. Amr would like to know how he can join the business of Zaid so that he also can get some profits. He was told that he can't do mudaaraba as the transaction was already initiated.

What "aqd" can he do in this case? Shirkat? If so, are there any conditions attached to it for the aqd to be correct?

Q: There is an app of Google known as "Google pay". It's used to transfer money from account to account. But every time when this app is used for money tranfer, it gives some money back as "cash back". For example... if I transfer 1000 rupees to Zaid's account, Zaid will get the full 1000 rupees and I will also get 10 or 20 rupees as cash back. Is this 10 to 20 rupees halaal?

Q: A Muslim person gave land like waqf to the Masjid committee to use this land for Eidgah for about ten years. Today, the leaders of the Masjid committee want to rent the land, while putting a clause that the tenant will have to clear the land during the two days of Eid to allow for the use of Eid Salaah. The committee officials say that it would provide income for the operation of the Masjid. In this case, is it obligatory to have the permission of the one who gave this land in waqf, many years ago, or not?

Q: After divorce, at which age can the children decide which parent they want to live with?

If the husband and wife agree for the wife to keep the children after the age of 6, will it be permissible?

Q: If am not sure whether till 7th Zil Haj, it will be 14 or 15 days in Makkah before we leave for Mina. Can we do any of the below:

1. Can we pray qasr salah in Makkah, Mina, etc. by making an intention of 14 days only, even if it increases to a day (making it to 15) depending on the moon sighting?

2. We pray full salah making intention of 15 days, but Zul Qadah month stops on 29th making it to only 14 days depending on moon sighting?

Which is a good method to follow here?

Q: Few people mentioned to me that we shouldn't use soap/shampoo during ghusal as it is done only with water, is this correct?

I usually pour water completely on my body and put soap/shampoo and then clean it properly. I understand that during ancient times there was no soap/shampoo so it was washed with only water.

Q: Does one need to perform Fard Zohr Salaah on Fridays before or after Jumah Salaah?
