Family not supportive of girl going into purdah

Q: I’m 24 years old and I was born with Cp. Basically I’m in a wheelchair and I can’t really do much like change, bath, et. My mum does all of that for me! I come from a pious family Alhumdullah but I live in the same yard as my uncle and he has 3 sons, all of age. When my foi’s come to visit they also have sons and I’m the only girl! All of us are unmarried. Alhumdullah besides this condition of mine my mind is fine.

I’ve been wanting to go into pardah for many years now especially because of our living conditions and now that we are all grown up! When I expressed my desire to my mum she said that wearing a cloak and pardah will be too difficult for her to carry me because cloaks are slippery and she refuses for me to wear it! The best part of this is that my mum comes from a pious family and her entire family is in pardah!

I tried explaining to her that this is the order of Allah. If I wear it Allah will make it easy for her, but to no avail! She’s extremely stubborn. My mums family is full of Ulema and I tried to get them to talk to her but they just say “Allah knows your intention”.

I see how my cousins look at me and I don’t buy into this whole cousins are your brothers story! I reached out to my grandparents, my Daadi doesn’t like pardah at all so I didn’t get anywhere with her and I won’t try. My naani says that I must make life easy for my mum as it is it’s so difficult! We are living in times of great finah. I don’t know what to do. Please advise.

Second jamaat in the musjid

Q: There is a masjid inside a university where many Muslim students live, but it often does not have any jamaat salaah on Sundays, though the Friday prayer is held there.

An imam is appointed for the masjid, but he often does not come for Fajr, Isha and prayers on weekends (maybe because he lives far from the university). When the imam is not present, anyone leads the prayer. Is it correct to start a 2nd jamaat after the imam has already led the 1st jamaat salaah?

Washing oneself after istibraa

Q: When I first started doing istibraa after going toilet about 2 years ago, I never used to do it properly for about the first 8 months. I used to go to the toilet and without waiting for all the urine drops to come out I used to wash myself. At that time I didn't even realise that I had to wait for all the urine drops to come out. After washing myself I would then wrap some toilet paper around my private part and after about half an hour I used to take out the toilet paper but I never used to wash myself again. I didn't realise that I had to wash myself again.

My question is, do I have to make qadha of all my salaahs in this period of about 8 months? I also was imam for many salaahs.

Aborting a down syndrome fetus

Q: I need to find out if it's permissible to terminate a fetus due to down syndrome, turner syndrome and certain sex chromosome abnormalities. So the child will be mentally and physically challenged. I am 10 weeks now and I have heard that it is permissible to terminate a fetus upto 120 days. My husband is feeling difficult to terminate the fetus as he feels that Allah has given us this situation. Please advise.

Reward for staying away from zina

Q: I was asked by a girl on WhatsApp to come to a place to commit zina with her. She told me that

* she will send a car to pick me up

* she will give me money of 25,000 if i did it for her

* she will book a five star hotel for me and told me its completely secret and no one will know

I resisted and told her that I will not do it. I also told her to fear Allah and I blocked her.

My question is that, will this come under getting rid of zina when a beautiful girl calls for it or is it only when a girl calls us home or to place where we are alone?

It was really difficult to resist my self but I did alhamdulillah. Will I come under those special people whom Allah doesn't ask hisaab kitaab?

Secret nikaah

Q: I recently married my cousin on request of my parents and so that our families stay connected and to obey my mother. But before that I sent a rishta/proposal to a girl that I liked but her family didn’t agreed.

Now after my marriage, that girl is asking me to marry her but I fear my that family and wife won’t agree to it. What should I do? What is the Islamic way to proceed in this matter? If I marry her and keep that a secret is it justified?

Secret nikaah

Q: I am 32 years old. I am married with 2 kids. I want to marry a girl who is 17 years old but she is young so she can't tell her parents. To avoid sin we have accepted each other in front of two Muslims that we are husband and wife. I asked her "do you accept me as your husband" and she said "yes". Are we husband and wife now?
