Q: There is a dispute which is currently taking place between some family members regarding a certain property which is part of the estate of their great grandfather.
One female is part of the present heirs and is receiving a share of the property. However, one family member who is also an heir wants to buy her share against her will and take her share for his own benefit. Is this permissible?

Q: Mufti Saheb, I heard that according to the Hanafi, Maaliki and Hambali mazhabs, it is not permissible for a male to shave his beard or to trim it shorter than a fist length. However, according to the Shaafi’ee mazhab, shaving or trimming the beard is only makrooh tanzeehi. Hence, if a person shaves or trims his beard, it will merely be disliked and he will not become sinful. Is this the correct view of the Shaafi’ee Mazhab - that they regard shaving and trimming the beard to be makrooh tanzeehi?

1. A lesbian woman approaches a Muslim notary to draw up an Antenuptial contract for a civil union with another woman.
2. A person who is openly gay/lesbian approaches a Muslim lawyer to do work for them. The work doesn't have to do with the client being gay/lesbian. It is normal legal work.
In either of these scenarios, is it permissible for the notary/lawyer to do the work?
