Pronouncing the name Muhammad correctly

Q: Different people, even Arabs, say "Muhammad"differently. I say it as "Muhammd" without the last vowel "a" and sometimes as "Muhammed" in daily life and in prayers (we need to mention the name of the Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) in tashahud and durood after tashahud. I did it in the past as this is how my non-Arabic tongue works. Does it matter for prayer?

Is greenish discharge considered haidh?

Q:

1. Is greenish discharge during haidh also considered as blood?

2. I’m in haidh. Today, whilst using the toilet, a lot of discharge came out and I wasn’t aware (as didn’t feel its release) until I wiped and saw discoloured discharge on my tissue. After washing and wiping, myself, towards the end I decided to wipe against my private area once more and I saw a small amount of dampness and i think a small amount of clear discharge. (I’ve read that discoloured discharge thats considered haidh doesn’t have to be completely discoloured, it can be mixed with both clear and coloured discharge.) I didn’t feel the release of this discharge and I’ve made the assumption that it could be leftover of the discoloured discharge I got a few minutes earlier that I forgot to wipe off. Was this okay of me to assume?

Eating prasad from a Hindu

Q: Recently one of my Hindu friends knocked at my room door in the hostel and gave me a slice of apple. He said it is Prasad so I took it and kept it one side in my room and I didn't eat it... Did I commit a sin? One scholar told me that only eating meat is not allowed of Hindus... we can eat fruits or sweets. I am really confused.

Books regarding Seerat of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and Sahaabah (radhiyallahu anhum)

Q: Somehow, I got interested in reading other books related to Islamic History besides reading my Daily Quran and Hadeeth. I got know about Khilafat O Malokiyat by Molana Modudi Sb., and I read that book. It was a very nice book. Somebody recommended reading "Al Raheeq ul Maktoom". I have read it too. Again, it was a realy nice book.

I want to read some more authentic books on Seerat of our Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam), and Sahaba Kiram (radhiyallahu anhum), and Umahatul Momineen, and also Islamic History, which are being linked to Quran and Hadees. Could you please recomend me some books (names of books with author)?

Taking orders for someone to sew clothes

Q: My friend has a business of selling stitched female clothes. I'm in another city and she made a deal with me and my sister that for every dress that I will struggle to get sold in my city, I'll be getting some profit ranging from 50 to 500 rupees, depending on what type of dress it is. So I call my female friends and relatives, and sometimes when I meet them, I tell them about the dresses, take their sizes and send them to my friend in the other city. She stitches the dresses and gives them to my sister who is also working with us. My sister then delivers the dress to my city. Is this income halal?

Words that do not constitute talaaq

Q: I have a few questions regarding whether talaq takes place in these circumstances.

1. If a person says 'Recharge' or 'Macho' aloud with the intention of divorce, does this count.

2. I was uttering 'Salamu-alaykum' repeatedly with no intention. On the last time, when I reached 'alaykum' the thought and intention to divorce came to me. Does this take place?

Married girl getting married to someone else

Q: A girl's father made her nikkah to a guy. She wasn't in the nikkah. She made her father her representative. After nikkah she wasn't living with the guy. She was still living at her father's house. Few months later she came to know that the guy is not good so she decided to break the nikkah. But her father said there was no nikkah done. After that she got married to another guy and now she is living with him. But one of her relatives is saying that her nikkah was held at that time and now she has done nikkah over nikkah. Now theres confusion about her nikkah whether it was done or not. She is now married to another guy. Is she doing zina? Is that nikkah valid? She can't even get divorced from that guy she left because these people have become their enemies.

Earning as an occupational therapist

Q: I am interested in being an Occupational Therapist, and I am a Muslim male. Occupational Therapy is a female-dominated profession, with about 90 percent being females. The nature of the profession involves helping people of all ages who have disabilities regain independence so they can do things they used to do, such as work and play. In Occupational Therapy school, I will be required to touch both males and females on the arms, legs, back, and shoulders for practice. Then when I begin working I will be required to treat both male and female patients. Treating them would require contact with the opposite gender, usually on the hand, back, shoulder, and arm on a regular basis. Would this job be considered halal since I am not doing any touching involving lust, but rather for work and to make the patient better? Or would it be haram in all cases and should I find another profession? By the way, my parents really want me to do it - they are also Muslims but not very religious.

Using medication with animal derivatives

Q: Is it permissible to buy and use a medicated cream for acne that contains animal derived ingredients? I am not sure what animal they are derived from. This cream appears to have worked very efficiently for many people with acne however there is no guarantee that it will work for me as well, but there is a very high likelihood that it will. I will simple put it on my acne then wash it off a few minutes later. Nothing else has worked for me and finding halal creams are difficult as it is. Is this permissible?
