Q: I have recently been divorced spending iddat by my father. He has been making my life a living misery, speaking a lot of lies and calling me ugly names. Last night things got out of hand and he kicked me out of the house, disowned me and said he doesn't want anything to do with me. I don't have any family to go to. Is it possible to spend the rest of my iddat alone in another city?

Q: I have been married for seven and half years now. I have a child, a son, 6 years of age. I want another child but my husband doesn't seem to be interested at all. He hasn't been trying for a baby or even having any kind of physical contact with me for almost two years. I want to know if its valid for a husband to stay away from his wife for that long? 1. If the girl's side has the nikah and the boy's side has the walimah a week later, is that considered a walimah?

2. If the above is not considered as the walimah, can the supper that the girl's side provide after the nikah at the masjid be considered as the walimah in order to fulfill the sunnah?

Q: Ten years ago, there was a businessman whom we would deal with. Eventually, he became bankrupt and ran away. There are many people who he owes money to. I owe a certain amount of money to this person. Can I give the amount to someone who he owes money to so that I become absolved of my debt?
