Communicating with the boy before nikaah

Q: I am in a very discomforting situation in my life. I don't know who to ask but I think Allah SWT guided me to you. In my family, only my mum does Shariah Pardha. In my Dad's side of the family, it is a norm to get married in the family as well as to talk to your cousins.

A while ago I communicated with my male cousins but I realised it is wrong. Therefore when I went back home I only spoke to them if there was a dire need. I don't do Shariah Pardha at the moment but I hope to do so.

Anyhow, I got engaged to my uncle's son whom attends jamaats etc. He tried to communicate but I ignored the messages. Later he spoke to my female cousins, therefore I responded and explained that I don't find it appropriate talking to you. But he doesn't understand.

My parents think it's okay for me to talk to him if I talk within limits. However, I don't want to talk to him and I have explained a couple of times, however he does not understand. I don't know what I should do.

Whose duty is it to pay for the household necessities?

Q: I am currently working for my father whereby I am in a secluded office doing his book work. For this I earn a wage. My husband also earns a reasonable wage and my question is:

1. Should I, as the wife, pay for household necessities and groceries or is it the duty of my husband? Please bear in mind that my husband and I are newly married and I have not had the confidence to bring up money matters with him as yet.

2. How do I go about discussing this with him in a sensible manner?

Delaying Salaah till the end of the Salaah time due to an uzr (excuse)

Q: Once, a few pimples on my scalp burst while I was showering and would not stop bleeding. The time for fajr salaah was almost up and my entire body was impure as the water from my head (that was still bleeding) had run all over my body. I tried to wash as much of it as I could but the majority of my body was still impure. I made wudu and performed salaah anyway, just before the time ended. Was this salaah valid? If not, what should I have done in a situation like this?
