Father committing zina with niece

Q: My father is in a relationship with his brothers daughter (which is haraam). We came to know this two years back...when we confronted him...he left us...he is not ready to leave her...he is committing zina. Last two years he is not in contact with anyone from the family...in these circumstances what is to be done? Is the nikaah still valid between my mother and father? When he left he said that he will send papers to my mother...but till today there is no single word from my father... He is not accepting halal relationship?

Reciting duas and Quraan in a bathroom without a toilet

Q: A person has a bathroom with a sink, shower, etc. The toilet is enclosed in a shower door type enclosure. So the rest of the bathroom is not considered the toilet. Would it be correct to recite duas etc. there when making wudhu? Will it be fine to take a Quran inside the bathroom, recite Quran there whilst watching children in the bath? Not in the toilet, but in the rest of the bathroom.

Trimming one's pubic hairs

Q: I have a skin condition (similar to eczema) and I am finding it difficult and painful to remove pubic, scrotal, back passage and surrounding hair by shaving. However, I have found through personal experience that either plucking or trimming these hairs are more suitable for me. According to the Sharia, which is more preferred for removing these hairs if shaving is harmful for a person: trimming or plucking?

Using history to prove laws of Deen

Q: I would like to ask you a question regarding Islamic law, connected with my PhD research. My research is about a Jewish man who became a Christian in Venice in 1595. From the years 1574-1593 he worked as the 3rd physician at the court of Sultan Murat iii in Istanbul. In the year 1580/ Islamic year 999 he accompanied the Valide Sultan to Medina and Mecca. Was it at that time possible that a Jewish physician visited Mecca, because he was the physician of the Valide Sultan? Or was it at that time for him already obligatory to revert to Islam in order to visit Mecca?
