Q: I had a house in my home country (Country A), then moved to another country (Country B) for a long period, but kept my house in Country A. After a while I decided to leave country B and move to a third country (Country C). I left country B permanently, but before going to Country C, I went back to visit my house in Country A, intending to stay there less than 15 days. At this point I didn't have any home apart from my house in Country A, but I, as mentioned, intended to leave soon, and find a place to stay in Country C. My question is: should I have shortened my prayers during the visit of my house in Country A?

Q: Please advise if temporary mahram is allowed. I.e. wife is accompanied by her brother-in-law on a 12 hour flight. Is this permissible in Islam? Wife is in hijaab. 

Q: Can the wife & child travel alone to her home without any mahram on the plane for a distance more than the 100km?

Q: Please inform me of the punishment if a women travels without a mahram.

Q: I'll go through an example: Anas is 23 years old, not married yet. He lives with his parents in Durban. He is hired by a company in Johannesburg. So from Monday to Friday he is in Jo'burg for his job. From Friday night to Sunday he goes back to Durban. So my question is where is Anas musafir, in Durban or Jo'burg?

Q: Is it permissible for a women to travel in such a condition where a mahram (of hers) leaves her at the airport and a mahram picks her up at the other aiport?

 Q: If a traveller leaves his home for the airport (approx. 25 km away). At the airport, will he have to read qasr salaah or full?

Q: My daughter is 10 years old. She is not yet baaligh. The school has planned an excursion which is more than safr distance away from my home town. Can she join her school on this excursion?

Q: If a person on safr performs salaah alone and intentionally performs full Salaah, will he be sinful?

Q: From where should a Musaafir start calculating his safar distance? Should he commence from his residence or from the border of the area he resides in?
