Janaazah

Q: I have a question regarding esaal-e-thawab. When we do a normal act but for the sake of Allah we get rewarded. For example, if we eat with the intention of being able to fast the next day, then we are rewarded for this intention even though eating is not an 'ibaadah in itself.

My question is: can we donate this kind of reward to the deceased (even though it does not come from a direct form of 'ibaadah) or is it only reward from direct types of worship (praying, fasting, etc.) that can be rewarded?

Q: It it known that the mubarak grave of Hazrat Amina (the mother of our beloved Nabi [sallallahu alaihi wasallam]) is in Abwa close to Makkah Mukarramah? Is it permissible to visit the place?

Q: What is the status of visiting the graveyard on the night preceding Eid or on Eid day?

Q: With regards to fatiha after janazah salaah, is it permissible or not?

If it is not permissible and a person attends such a janazah salaah where they will read fatiha, what should be done?

Q: What happens to a person when he/she dies? Some people say that you meet family members who died before you, some people say you’re sleeping till the day of judgement. What is the correct answer?

When Hazrat Bilal (radhiyallahu anhu) was about to depart from the world he said that he was happy and was waiting to meet Nabi Muhammed (sallallahu alaihi wasallam).

Q:

1. Please explain what should be read whilst/after the burial of the deceased at the side of the grave.

2. Is it correct to recite Quraan aloud, e.g. Surah Yaseen and the first/last aayaat of Surah Baqarah. If not aloud, will it be sunnat to recite softly individually.

3. Is it permissible to make congregational dua on this occasion?

Q:

1. Can a sum of money be given to a person going for hajj for sawaab for a marhoom who never made hajj?

2. What would constitute a fair amount to be given?

1. What is the correct method of doing esaal-e-sawaab during ziyarat of a grave in the graveyard?

2. Are we supposed to raise the hands like in dua while doing esaal-e-sawaab facing the grave?

Q: Kindly confirm whether taking my 5 years old son to the graveyard after Maghrib Salah or Isha Salah is allowed?

Q: We have seen in the UK when a body is laid in the grave, they remove the cloth from the face.
