Boycotting and marching

Q: In light of the recent war in Palestine and killing of our brothers and sisters in this land. There has been wide spread support for the cause of the
Palestinian people from both Muslim and non-Muslims. Can mufti elaborate more on the actions of protest (marching) and boycotting of particular retail outlets? The question relates directly to these 2 points, marching and boycotting , as a Muslim should we be supporting and joining these forms of support?

Voting

Q: I am from Inda, Kashmir. Some people says that casting votes is haram (Forbiddan) as the constitution is not Islamic. I request you please guide me the islamic ruling on casting votes in a Unislamic country?

Elections and voting

Q: With regards to voting and elections, I would like to ask the following question:

Country X is a non-islamic state with a minority number of muslims that is run by a political party, we can call this political party Y for example,
which allows full freedom to Muslims to practice their religion freely and without any restrictions. Political party Z is an upcoming political party
which is run by Yahoodis and is gaining great dominance in the state. It is well known with regards to the Yahoodis that they are not to be trusted due to their cunning nature and persecution of Muslims around the world, and if they take control of the state, the possibility exists that muslims will now become restricted in practicing Islam. Bearing this in mind, will it be permissible for Muslims to vote in the elections for the party that proves to be a greater benefit for the muslims, or do we just ignore the entire elections and do not involve ourselves in such issues?

E-tolls

Q: I would like to know if it would be Jaiz-correct to use interest-Riba money to pay for eTolls in Guateng.

The points to consider are the following :

1) There are no new roads that were built. These were all existing roads that have been improved by SANRAL.

2) The roads improvement were also done as part of the infrastructure improvement deal for the 2010 world-cup.

3) The alternative routes are not in a good condition and in most cases are not even suitable to be used as alternative routes to and fro from travel destinations.

4) The government already imposes high taxes and specific road taxes via the road levy that are paid via the price of fuel.

5) The consumer-citizen was not correctly consulted by the state to impose such fees on roads (via vote or poll) and the legislation was pushed through very aggressively by the ruling party and those that benefit financially from the eToll income.

6) The majority of the income from eToll leaves the country and is paid to a company in Europe.

7) The improvement of the roads has benefited movement of traffic in some areas, and eased congestion at some peak times.

8) The roads are more safe to drive on and are better lit up in certain areas at night.

As this is a current hot debate in our area, your URGENT attention and response thereof would be most highly appreciated.

Voting

Q: What does the verse of the Quran at 4:85 mean? One explanation I read says that if we vote for a candidate in election and he indulges in anti Islamic activities then we are also responsible before Allah.
