Not performing Jumuah Salaah due to employment in a bank

Q: What is the islamic view on those working in Bank and aren't allowed to go for Jumah prayer?

A: Jumuah Salaah is among the salient features and symbols of Islam. The one who omits the Jumuah Salaah without any valid reason has committed a major sin in the sight of Allah Ta'ala. Not attending the Jumuah Salaah on account of your employment is not a valid excuse for omitting the Jumuah Salaah. You should leave the bank and look for some other employment. Similarly you should make sincere tawbah to Allah Ta'ala for omitting the Jumuah Salaahs in the past and make a firm resolve that you will never repeat this sin in the future.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
