Q: I was using the toilet (number two) and all of a sudden an old friend of mine walks into the bathroom to tell me about some of the problems that he's been going through. It felt awkward because he invaded my privacy but at the same time I didn't want to be rude.
A: Friendship should be kept within the limits that Shari'ah has permitted. Exceeding the bounds and limits where one's private affairs becomes exposed to one's friends or where one allows one's friends to freely intermingle with one's household and family members (and the laws of purda not being observed) is incorrect and and this type of conduct generally proves detrimental to one's Deen.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
