Demolishing a musalla and converting it into a Masjid

Q:

1. If you declare a musalla as a Masjid and later on want to extend, will it be valid to demolish the entire musallah and rebuild?

2. If valid, does the new Masjid have to be on the exact spot? Please note land has not yet been rezoned as a religious site

A:

1. Yes

2. It can be extended.
