Repeating the nikaah

Q: A cousin of mine did sharai nikah with a person in the presence of bride and grooms parents but ruskhsti did not take place. Then due to few reason she thought of getting khulaah and she applied it in a court but before any further event they settle down out side court and did tajdeed-e-nikah. The question i want to ask is that is this new nikah jaiz or not. and can the girl's parents make her rukhsati with that person?

A: If khula' did not take place, then the previous nikaah still remains and there was no need to repeat the nikaah.
