Kissing the thumbs when the name of Nabi (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) is mentioned

Q: Should we kiss our thumbs and apply them on our eyes when Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wasallam)'s name is mentioned?

A: This action has no basis in deen.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
