Q: I have committed a very great sin which is illegal in our religion. I am repenting for it. Please help me on how I can get purified and for Allah Ta'ala to forgive and erase my sins.
A: Refer to some shaikh. For the time being before sleeping do the following: perform 2 rakaats of taubah namaaz before sleeping. Thereafter, make istighfaar 1000 times and for at least 10 minutes think of death and the events after death. Finally, cry to Allah Ta`ala and beg Him for His special help and assistance.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
