Time for Tahajjud

Q: I want to know the time of Tahajjud prayer. Fajar prayer time is 4:30 am and I usually used to offer Tahajjud at 3:30 am but I am confused if it's the right time or not.

A: Tahajjud Salaah can be performed anytime after the Esha Salaah until the time of subah saadiq. Once subah saadiq enters, it is no longer permissible for one to perform tahajjud salaah. Subah saadiq refers to the glow of light which appears on the breadth of the eastern horizon during the latter portion of the night (i.e. at the time of true dawn) which goes on expanding horizontally.

You may find out from the jamiat of your locality or look at the calendar to see the time subah saadiq enters in the place you live.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
