Q: Which greeting can we use for non-Muslims? If we say Assalaamu Alaikum, we cannot pray for them in this way. If we say good morning, we are promoting Christianity greetings. So how should we great non-Muslims?
A: It is permissible to greet them by saying good morning. Good morning is not a greeting which is exclusive to any religion. We are prohibited from adopting a greeting that is exclusive to a certain religion.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
