Sitting in a masjid room during taraweeh and talking
Q: If a person went into a room in the masjid where him and others were told not to go but they went and put the lights on during Taraweeh and they didn’t pray and they talked lustfully about female college teachers. Would this amount to Kufr and would there be payment required for having the lights on?
A: This is not kufr. However, these are serious sins, and perpetrating them in the musjid only compounds these sins. Those who have committed these sins should sincerely beg Allah Ta'ala for forgiveness and make a firm resolve that they will not repeat these sins in the future.
If they had not performed salaah, then they should pay some amount to the musjid for wrongfully entering the room and using the lights.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
