Using a shower or having bucket bath

Q:

1. Is using a shower considered to be contrary to the sunnah of a bucket bath?

2. If one has a shower, how should one achieve a sunnat ghusl?

3. Would it be better to use a bucket despite having a shower available?

4. Does the same thing apply regarding wudhu and using a tap vs the mudd utensil?

A:

1. It is permissible as long as there is no wastage. Just as one uses the tap to make wudhu.

2. The same manner will be followed by making a sunnat wudhu and thereafter following the sequence.

3. If you think that water is going to be wasted in a shower, then it will be better to use a bucket.

4. Yes.
