Q: In alot of hajj and umrah questions, you use the term "damm". What does damm mean?
A: Damm refers to slaughtering a sheep or goat in the precincts of the Haram with the intention of atoning for some violation that took place in ihraam. After the animal is slaughtered, the meat should be distributed among the poor.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
