Ruling regarding those who omit the sunnah muakkadah salaah

Q: What is the ruling regarding the Sunnat Salaah? I see it where people do not perform the Sunnat Salaah at all. They understand that as long as the Fardh Salaah is done, the obligation of Salaah is complete.

Please advise as to how to best address this.

A: Performing the sunnah salaah is extremely important. If one only suffices on the fardh and does not perform the sunnah muakkadah salaah, then one will become sinful. To the best of your ability you should try and caution people regarding this and encourage them to perform their sunnah muakkadah salaah.
