Tableegh and Taleem

Q: I grew up in a home where my dad always went out in Jamaat and did Taleem at home. I am married to a Muslim man who is kind and generous Alhamdullilah but does not believe in tableegh work, he refuses to go out even for 3 days. I have made dua many times but he refused. He will sit and listen when Jamaat visits our home but his dad told him not to go with the "tabhleegis" if I can put it like that. Please elloborate to me in simple terms

1. What is Tableegh and why the Jamaat goes out doing Tableegh work so I can explain to him and his family. Alot of them also say that Taleem is a tabhleegis practice and that's the reason they don't do it.

2. Also they believe in reading Salaami which I was never taught. One question also raised is that why don't we read the salaami in the Taleem groups done by women weekly?

A:

1. It is obligatory for every Muslim to learn the right beliefs, right works, social etiquette, correct halaal dealings and right character. Whether he acquires this through the jamaat, madrasah or khanqah, it is his prerogative. The daily taleem is done to lighten up and brighten up the spirit of imaan and righteousness. Unfortunately, with the forces of baatil and the fitnah that is all around, this light is definitely affected and there is a need to brighten this so that one may be able to see the path of righteousness easily and not be distracted through haraam and wrong.

2. Reciting durood and salaam is a must in every home. The way of the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu anhum) and the pious was that each person would recite durood shareef in his individual time. Hence, it is more important that you do the durood shareef daily in your own time than doing it weekly in a group.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
