Saving a mother or unborn child where only one can survive

Q: If a situation occurs where only the mother or the baby can survive after 120 days of pregnancy, who should be chosen, the baby or the mother?

A: Who is going to survive is known to Allah Ta`ala alone. You will endeavour to see that you save both and then Allah Ta'ala knows who will survive and who will go. That we will assign to Allah Ta'ala.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
