Validity of salaah in Nike clothes

Q: Is my salah in nike clothes valid?

A: The Nike logo is symbolic of a Greek goddess. Hence, when this has a kufr connotation, then it is not permissible for one to wear such clothing. It will be similar to wearing clothing which has a picture of a Christian cross or the Hindu three with the tail at the bottom.

We are commanded in Shari’ah to refrain from emulating the kuffaar and adopting their fashions and ways in our dressing as well as all other departments of our lives. Hence, one should totally refrain from wearing these types of clothing, shoes etc. However, if you remove the logo, it will be permissible for you to wear it.

Nevertheless, through performing salaah in such clothing, the salaah will be valid and the obligation of the salaah will be fulfilled, but one will not receive any reward for the salaah.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
