Q: A person commenced his sunnat of Zuhar. Then he realized that the time of Zuhar is about to end so he changed his intention to fardh. Will this intention be valid?
A: Merely changing one's intention in the heart is not sufficient. However, if one recites the takbeer again intending to commence the fardh salaah, then this will suffice.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
