Q: Can one go into ihram in Jeddah and then go to Makkah for umrah?
A: Jeddah is within the meeqat. Hence, it is not permissible for one who wishes to go for umrah or hajj to delay putting on the ihraam till Jeddah.
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
