Q: After your fardh salaah with jamaat, is it better for the Imaam to make dua loudly or softly and what's the best duas to read?
A: After the fardh salaah, dua should be made individually and softly. This was the way in which Rasulullah (sallallahu alaihi wasallam) and the Sahaabah (radhiyallahu anhum) would make dua after their fardh salaah. There are many duas that are reported in the Hadith. The following are two famous duas which are reported in the Hadith:
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَام
اَللّٰهُمَّ أَعِنِّيْ عَلٰى ذِكْرِكَ وَشُكْرِكَ وَحُسْنِ عِبَادَتِكْ
And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
