Woman in iddat going into the garden of her farm

Q: Can a woman in iddat come out of the house into the garden which is completely private, it is on a farm?

A: The law of shariah in regard to a woman in iddat is that she should remain at her home and not leave her home. Hence, if the garden is joined to the house (within the yard) or it is in an enclosure within the house, then it will be permissible for her to go into the garden as she will not be leaving her house. 

However, if the garden is at a distance from the house, but within the farm, and going to the garden will require her to leave her house to go to the garden, then she should avoid this.
