Q: I terminated my pregnancy in 6 months and this is murder. Is there any kaffara or diyat? Kindly guide me what can I do.
A: After four months passes, the rooh (soul) enters the fetus. Hence, terminating the pregnancy at this time (i.e. 6 months) is tantamount to murder. You should sincerely repent to Allah Ta'ala for committing this major sin and you should make a firm resolve that you will never repeat this in the future. You should give a large amount of wealth in sadaqah to the poor out of hope that Allah Ta'ala will forgive you for this sin.
