Are all Prophets and their followers called Muslims and Mu’mins?

Q: 

1. Are all Prophets called Muslims and Mu’mins? 

2. Are all followers of Prophets including previous nations called Muslims and Mu’mins?

A: 

1. Yes. 

2. Yes. The followers of all the Rasools and Ambiyaa were regarded as Muslims and Mu'mins in the time when their Rasools and Ambiyaa were sent to them. 

Note: In regard to whether the title Muslim is specific to this ummat or it can be used for other ummats, there are two opinions of the Muhaditheen. Some say that this title is specific to this ummat while others say it can be used for the followers of all ummats.

And Allah Ta'ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
